The CDS-PP will present in the Assembly of the Republic two proposals aimed at reducing the tax burden for married taxpayers, minimizing the discrimination that exists in respect of says divorced, with regard to taxation.
"There is much that the CDS has warned about the discrimination that exists in the taxation of married taxpayers with respect to those who are divorced. It is something that concerns us and we want to see resolved with balanced proposals which we hope will be accepted, told the Lusa Diogo Ugly, leader of the party's parliamentary group.
On the last day for submission of proposals to the Government budget, the Christian Democrats want to see approved a measure allowing spouses to submit their statements separately from IRS, which could lead state, in many cases, "fairer taxation and with a lower tax burden "for couples.
Already in the case of those who choose to continue to present a joint statement, the party proposes that the division of income for tax purposes will be based on the total number of elements of the household, including children.
"They are effective proposals that will be felt in the pocket of families", Diogo called Ugly.
